DEPARTMENTS DEPARTMENTS
Endoscopic Care and Follow-up
Endoscopic procedures that need no incision, together with nutrition, psychology and laboratory follow-up. This work continues for patients for whom surgery is not planned or not yet appropriate.
Procedures in this department

Intragastric Balloon
A temporary device placed endoscopically and removed after a set period. It is not surgery and is carried out alongside a nutrition and activity programme.

Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty
An endoscopic procedure in which the stomach is narrowed with sutures placed through the mouth, without an incision. Its eligibility criteria differ from those for surgery.

Nutrition and Dietitian Follow-up
A structured programme that starts before surgery and covers the liquid, puree and solid stages afterwards. Reviews continue several times a year.

Psychological Assessment
A consultation covering eating behaviour, expectations and the support around the patient. It is an integral part of the decision and is not on its own a means of approval or refusal.
